Songs of the Week October 14 - 21 So the turn of events, I went to Applebee's midtown ..... I went and moshed at IDLES, I sat at the Hare Krishna tree, made a Donatella Versace cross (image will be accompanied) and I think I may be suffering some memory loss. It was a pretty fun week, now I'm in my studio class writing this as I am every week and starting to get a little scared for the winter. Winter is always so cold I had to already bust out my heater which is fucked. Also I'm going to be moving pretty soon to a new spot which is super exciting, but in less exciting news my friends and leaving for Parsons Paris so I'll have to get ready for a goodbye. Shoutout Sydney I will miss you.  Here's what's been on repeat All I Think About Now - Pixies This song is amazing, it has been on repeat all week it's just so good. Feels really nostalgic and sort of sulky, which matches this frisk weather we've been having.  Whiskeyclone, Hotel City 1997 - Beck Foun...

Songs of the Week October 7 - 14 This week I got a matching tattoo, so maybe that'll give you an insight on how things are in my noggin rn. I'm seeing IDLES Friday or Saturday I have to check, erm, but very excited for that. My dad came into town, brought him to the Hare Krishna tree <3. AND I got a new shirt so, 100.  Anyways here's the fucking songs I've been listening too. Less Lou Reed this week, more ..... Elliott.....Smith...... regressing....... regressing........ sorry god.  Kings Crossing - Elliott Smith Emo mindset, Emo song, sort of not really. Elliott Smith has best voice in the world, no cap 100. He Took Her to a Movie - Ladytron I used this song for a short animation, I only knew Seventeen by them but this is sort of a similar vibe to that, Ladytron rocks. GREENER KNOTS - Maxo Kream Maxo Kream is pretty good in my opinion, I loved Roaches by him. I'm no Maxo Kream expert but listen to this song, I have really nothing else to say here I found this ...

Songs of the Week September 30 - October 7 This week has flown by, It's been a lot of Lou Reed on my end thanks to my September playlist I made a little while ago. This week it's been reflecting on basically what the point of life is, lol. Just thinking lots about how it's important to show care for those you love. Sort of heavy for a shitty blog, sorry  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sugar on my Tongue - Talking Heads Found this through the enhance feature on Spotify playlists which is sort of epic because I had only ventured into only a couple talking heads songs. Andy's Chest - Lou Reed This is music 2 my ears, this song makes me feel safe which I think is the case for all Lou Reed songs, it also feels very New York (gag) and very Fall (gag x2) Baby's on Fire - Brian Eno I don't know who Brian Eno is, quick google search lets me know he apparently created the genre of ambient music, very cool. He is also considered a genius, very cool. Sour Times - Portishead Shoutout Olivia fo...

Songs of the Week September 23-30 This week has been all right it really zoomed by, music wise I have been in one of those stumps where I can not find any new songs that I've been super into. I have really been regressing into my indie phase from 2015 where it was lots of Misterwives, Cage the Elephant, and Lorde..... but those songs will not be in this post because that is strictly private mode on Spotify music. Anyways here is what I've been listening to this mundane week.  I Don't Like - Chief Keef Let's just say a special someone (i.e me) is going to the Chief Keef and Turnstile concert on the 7th. I am pretty excited. I used to listen to this song when I'd walk down the hallways in high school cuz I did not fuck with fakes. Anyways this song just puts me into a good mood.  Closer - Nine Inch Nails NIN was all I was listening to last year around this time and this song just brings me back to slightly painful memories of the crisp air in Vancouver walking down Ha...

Songs of the Week September 16-23 This week has been all out of wack thanks to the Pisces moon, I've been crazy pensive and these songs go perfect for anyone who has also been feeling this way. It was also my birthday on the 16th so shoutout to everyone who wished me a happy birthday.  Steppin' Razor - Sublime I was listening to Sublime heavy in the beginning of summer with my best friend Sydney in the park on my little JBL speaker, this ska heavy band makes the best 'off-beat' on beat sounds that I have ever heard. I like that some of there songs don't follow a certain rhythm and Steppin' Razor is probably one of my top Sublime songs right now.  Mother of Earth - The Gun Club I had not known too much about the Gun Club and had only heard their song Sex Beat, which if you haven't heard I think you should take a little listen. Sex Beat was a lot more punk and sort of had a ska feel too, I actually ended up using the song for my animation reel. Mother of Earth...
