Songs of the Week 10/21

 Songs of the Week

October 14 - 21

So the turn of events, I went to Applebee's midtown..... I went and moshed at IDLES, I sat at the Hare Krishna tree, made a Donatella Versace cross (image will be accompanied) and I think I may be suffering some memory loss. It was a pretty fun week, now I'm in my studio class writing this as I am every week and starting to get a little scared for the winter. Winter is always so cold I had to already bust out my heater which is fucked. Also I'm going to be moving pretty soon to a new spot which is super exciting, but in less exciting news my friends and leaving for Parsons Paris so I'll have to get ready for a goodbye. Shoutout Sydney I will miss you.

Here's what's been on repeat

All I Think About Now - Pixies
This song is amazing, it has been on repeat all week it's just so good. Feels really nostalgic and sort of sulky, which matches this frisk weather we've been having.

Whiskeyclone, Hotel City 1997 - Beck
Found this through one of my friends Sheridans playlists on Spotify. Beck is pretty epic (ep-beck) and I always love to listen to his songs. The whole Mellow Gold album is sick and makes me think of trashy Americana.

Don't Bother Me - Bad Brains
I'm no Bad Brain expert I just know they're from DC thanks to Syd and that they mix reggae and hardcore, which is kind've a genius mix. I was listening to this sing a lot yesterday at the park.

Beercan - Beck
More Beck! More Beck! More Beck! This song has some really nice lyrics, and a nice vibe overall.......vibe.

Why Would You Stay - Kem (shelter vocal)
Heard this at the record store on 6th and A, but the original mix was called "Y Would You Stay? (Maya Sensei Mix)" but I could not for the life of me find it anywhere online, this is the closest I got-

Slip it In - Black Flag
I love black flag, all their music is just so good, this song is sort of sexy and freaky heheheheheheheheh, I suggest you listen, I guess that's the whole point of this blog I suggest you listen to it all.

Grounds - IDLES
Idles shout, yupppppp, didn't know this one before the show, heard it live, everything sounds better live, song is really good.

Only For You - Heartless Bastards
This song is sort of sweet sort of sad. Again good to sulk and reflect.

So that's what's been on repeat. Now....

Picture's of the Week:
